The Three Fundamental Principles

This is an audio series of lectures conducted over two days in an Islamic Network seminar. It is an Explanation of a book by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdil-Wahhâb: The Three Fundamental Principles (Thalâthatu ‘l-Usûl). The book deals with the three questions asked in the grave: Who is your Lord? What is your dîn? Who is your Prophet?

Salaah – Time To Establish The Prayer

Salaah

Salah or the five daily prayers is the commandment of Allah after belief in the oneness of His existence. Its importance and relevance in Islam cannot be emphasised enough, such is its status in the eyes of Allah. The difference between the one who prays his salaah and the one who does not, according to the Qur’an, is like the living and the dead. And the distinction that sets Islam apart from all other religions according to our prophet is the daily prayers. It is also a gift and a blessing, as it opened the door to immense rewards and feelings of peace. Its value can be demonstrated in the fact that the prayer was revealed to the prophet beyond the heavens, to be received directly, in the presence of Allah.

Women In History

Women

The Western media has been relentless in attacking Islam on all fronts, one of which is the role of woman in Islam. The world is being given the picture that Muslim woman are subjugated human beings who are rather seen as slaves of men, ordained to be inferior and to be looked down upon. Sadly, many Muslim countries have been fooled into this inferiority complex and have reacted in a most un-Islamic way. The truth is Islam came into a world that treated woman as beings without any rights and who were from birth, the “property” of there men folk throughout their lives. Muslim woman were indeed scholars and teachers, fighters and revivalists at a time when the western world was still debating their importance and whether woman were even human or not!

Spirit Of Struggle

Struggle
